Ok. I have a multiswitch that allows diplexing for an OTA line. I already have a seperate direct line running to my HDDVR 20-700 for the OTA tuner. I have 2 SD dvrs.

My question is: can I still diplex the antenna into the multiswitch and only diplex out for my other SD recievers? Or once I diplex it will always mess with the 2 SAT in lines/BBC for the HDDVR?

I just was looking for a way to diplex for the SD dvrs I have with the 2 diplexers I have on hand, and without extra cable runs/splices. I assume someone will suggest diplexing directly after the multiswitch for the SD runs (which I guess is an option too).
thanks all.

If I understand you, you have a Slimline dish with 4 lines coming from it. Two lines go directly to the HD-DVR, and you want to put the other two sat lines on a 3x4 (or 5x8) switch to feed the other two SD-only receivers, with an OTA line going into the OTA input on the switch, and diplexed back out at the receivers.

If that's correct, then, yes, it will work. If you upgrade those SD receivers in the future, it won't work anymore, though.

As long as you are not getting any programming of the 119 satellite (local channels or Spanish programming), you can just use 2 coax to feed an older multiswitch. You will only have access to the 101 satellite in that configuration.

The older multiswtich, and the diplexers themselves, should attenuate any signals that would interfere with diplexing.
