I have an H20 with RF remote capability however I seem to have lost or misplaced the RF antenna. Does anyone know a way to get just the RF antenna for the back of the unit. Is it possible to attack a piece of coax and use that as the antenna??

An unfolded paper clip carefully inserted into the center pin of the RF antenna jack might do the trick.

-You can find the antenna on eBay (dish network version works as well)
-You can use any other antenna you have, I used some old rabbit ears on my uncles and had insane range :p

Use a short piece of coax with about 6 inches of the center conductor exposed, bend it so it stands up, works well.

Interesting that you bring up this subject.

I recently relocated my H20 (tuner only) to same place that HR20-700 is. Both need to operate on RF for this to work for me. I put an old FM radio antenna for a receiver that had a single wire terminated with a coax fitting on the H20 and switched it over to RF. It works, but compared to HR20-700 the operation seems a bit sluggish (I seem to have to hold down the buttons a bit longer to get a response).

So here are my questions for all you wizards at DBSTalk:
1. Are the differences I am seeing just the difference between H20 and HR20? or
2. Could the antenna be the problem?
3. Can I get one from D* - I have the maintenance program.
Thanks to all who have ideas.
