HR20-700 FF 1X problem

All, looking for solutions to choppy, skipping when selecting FF 1X speed. Prior to the update to 0x290 it was very smooth. I often use FF 1X to fast-forward NASCAR races. Prior to the update the FF 1X speed was butter smooth. Now it just jumps and skips and is unuseable!!

What can I do? or is Directv working on a solution??

I have a HR20-100 at 0x290 and the ff1x works pretty smoothly except when I first push the button there is a delay of about a second.

Still seems to be experiencing the problem fast forwarding any program. It just jumps, skips instead of a smooth fast forward action.....
