View Full Version : How long before DirecTV credits show up on bill?

Is there any general rule for this? I just switched to DirecTV, and got their current $23/month off deal (1 yr) + $10/month off for AAA discount. When I checked my first online statement, it had the AAA discount applied, but not the $23/month promotion. All of the other things (like free HD for 3 months, free HBO/Starz/Showtime for 3 months) in that promotion were there.

Another thing that was missing was a $50 referral credit...but I think they said that phases in $10/month for 5 months.

I've heard it can take a month or 2, but don't know exactly what to expect. Anyone know the answer?

Thanks!!!

the 23 credit is actually an 18 and a 5, they require filling in a form online at directv.com (rebates) and then take 6 to 8 weeks

the 50 dollar referral credit is 5 credits of 10 each, did you call the special number? calling the special number to order directv is critical for that

Same here, I just submitted my rebate for the $23 off but it doesn't show my AAA Discount or the Referral Discount online....I'll wait until I get my first bill before I call ;)

I called the AAA number when I signed up, but asked the CSR if he would be able to give me the referral credit and he said he could and got my buddies account # from me

Hmmm...interesting. No one from DirecTV ever told me that I needed to fill out a form, and I can't find anything on the web about it. Ok, I'll try and track down the rebates section of the website.

For the referral number, I went through the AAA number, but they took down the referral # information and said that I would receive the credit. Is there something else I should do?

Thanks!

I think you and I did almost the exact same thing. :)

I signed up for service on 10/24 and my referral and rebates went through yesterday...so they are fairly quick.

I signed up on 10/28 and was installed yesterday so we'll see when they show up

You may already know but make sure you submit the rebate either online or over the phone. I called and had the CSR submit for me.

Any info on the referral credit, and how to check it?

If you do not see your referral credit by your second bill. Call D* and they will have to resubmit it.

I had a similar deal when I got DirecTV. It was $20 a month off for 6 months. I was notified about 2 months in that they accepted the rebate form I submitted, and it took another 2 months for processing...no lie. How in the world can it take 2 months to process it? I called several times and they always keep extending it by another month. So annoying.

I gave my referral info when I signed up. About a week after the installation, I got an email stating that it should start showing up on my next 5 billing cycles.
