I thought it was safe to assume all Red Sox games on WSBK would be blacked out, by accident I wind up on WSBK and the Sox/Devil Rays game is not blacked out. Now here's where the real weirdness is, I do a search for all MLB Baseball to see if future games on WSBK are blacked out. It appears this Fridays Jays @ Sox game will be blacked out on channel 236, but it will be in the clear on channel 8775. In the past both were blacked out

As Archie Bunker used to say "Stifle, you dingbat."

The decision to switch the game to WSBK was made on Monday. The game was originally scheduled to air on an alternate sports channel. Usually this season, WSBK only has the Friday games.

Another piece of weird: on the guide on my 501, the game was listed on channel 38 at 6:00 with a duration of half an hour (I wish).

Same thing here, but the channel banner showed baseball, but the EPG listed whatever is normally on at those time slots, except for the 7:30-8PM slot, in which Baseball was listed for 30 min.

Makeup game for last friday's rainout. Not enough lead time to qualify for a blackout. probably.

Game was on NESN Alternate and in EI as well.

The game was definitely not a makeup game. Friday's opponent was supposed to be Baltimore. Tonight's game was vs. Tampa Bay. Friday's rainout is being played on August 8.

The madness will end as soon as the Bruins are eliminated. Their games are what's causing the Red Sox to be bounced around to alternate channels and now, apparently, Channel 38.

Not a MLB makeup game, but a Broadcast makeup game for WSBK. They owed them one.

Thank goodness I am not a sports fan, dish network is horrible with sports, they love to just blackout the games on a superstation channel that is part of the package o and I don't want to hear the crap that dish does not control the blackout they stinking control the whole damn satalite from there television center in littleton co.  If they want to they can knock any channels they want off, they have the power.  Thank goodness that I like the mets otherwise if I lived in cleveland or I liked the yankees I would have either went back to cable or got directv.

reddice: It's the major sporting leagues that set the blackout rules, not the DBS providers. I'll send you the links... FROM DIRECTV'S SITE.

But it's fun to watch the teams they play against on WPIX now and then. :D
