I'm getting NBCEHD on 392 as KWWL, my NBC local, had a digital transmitter "blow up". It's been down since yesterday and they're waiting on equipment but it will be a couple more days before they're back up and running. The SD signal still coming in on the small dish. The billboard DirecTV is showing on channel 7 says tune to 82 or 393 but actually 392 is the channel they're giving us. I think it's pretty cool they're taking care of us at all.
That's cool. I tried this yesterday, but it wasn't on. KWWL said the replacement part will be here Friday morning and should be back on in the afternoon.

That's interesting as I live in NE Iowa and didn't have either distant available to me last night. I wonder why some are getting it and some aren't. All I got was a "channel not purchased".

Does anyone know when we are going to get KCRG in HD? That channel is the only reason I have to hold on to that little dish.
With all these other people getting their new HD locals every week or two, it would be nice is D* would go back and finish off the ones they missed. ;)

Was just having a discussion about this on AVS Forums. Here's the thread.

So it looks like engineering will be getting KWWL-DT back up tonight, or at least working in that direction. They've turned 392 off and I'm going to guess they'll give it to us again during primetime if we're without network. Like I said in the OP, I think it's pretty cool they're taking care of us... but will they again?
KCRG needs to work something out but from what I read in that thread at avsforum it looks like it's in D*'s court. I hope they get that figured out before the switch because I have a UHF antenna and I don't want to replace it for these two stations. I talked with KCRG just yesterday and they just told me "talks broke down". They have the worst of the locals SD signals.

Hopefully the KCRG SD signal will at least improve a little once the new equipment is in at the local receive facility. This is supposed to happen by 12/15 according to a chart that was posted somewhere earlier.
As for KWWL, I think one of the engineers there posted elsewhere that they blew a $40,000 component on one of their transmitters (channel 55?) which is where Directv gets their signal. Hopefully it is resolved soon.

Looks like KWWL got it back up and going sometime between 7:30 and 8:00. D* wasn't giving us the DNS tonite before it came back up.
