A few times a year I take a few of my HR2x's camping and have been using a 18" dish with a dual LNB and a 2x4 Sat Multiswitch. Because I lose my locals I would like to get an OTA antenna etc. Not going to upgrade my dish cause roughing it in my RV means I don't get HD and I don't care. At home that is another story. What hardware do I need AND can I record any OTA programs?

For the HR20-700 all you need is an antenna, and rerun the sat and antenna setup from the menu. For the HR22 you'll need to order the AM21, which is $50. You'll be able to record up to two shows at a time.

You'll be able to record up to two shows at a time. My R15 works good with a 18" dish with single LNB while camping. Will a HR20 or HR22 work with one LNB on an 18" dish? Does they simply become SD recorders?

Okay, got the hardware but confirm I can record OTA programming like any SAT signal program. That is key.

Yep, you record just like it's off the satellite.

Can I avoid the AM21 and use my HR10-250 instead of the HR22. Will the HR10 also record OTA locals?:confused:

Yes you could use the HR10-250 instead of the HR22. It's what I would do.
