I know I should know this after watching this show for this long, but something just occured to me.

Do the members of the jury see what is happening at the camp?  Or do they just have to go off of what is said at the tribal councils and from those that get voted off after them?

I would think that if they could see what was happening at the camp it could effect them a lot more than if they just saw the tribal councils.

Anyone know?

Assumption here but I would guess that since most post production is done after everyone leaves camp that the only way to see it as a jury member is as raw footage. I wouldn't think they could go through that much footage in the short time they are on site. Remember, it's probably only two weeks from jury boot to final.

Would like to hear what others think or know on this as it is a good question.

Also, one other question that has bugged me - I thought I noticed Christi with a hearing aid in last week's episode. I thought she was completely deaf, not just hearing impaired. Maybe it was just to help locate noises but if she can actually hear conversations, it changes her 'character' completely. Then again, maybe I just need new glasses :glasses:

The jury members only see what happens at TC. That was established back in the first one.

And Christy has always worn the hearing aid - I'm pretty sure I remember reading that she's completely deaf in one ear and about 80% deaf in the other. But, that's going from memory from months ago.

Yes, I believe that Christy said that to the women when she first got there (or she said it on one of the interviews) she is completely deaf in one ear and almost completely deaf in the other.

During the recap show she was also telling someone (belive it was Butch but others were listening) that she can hear music if she really cranks it. I am sure if someone was standing close and yelling she would hear that also.

So they know she can hear a bit, but mostly she relies on the lip reading.

Yes, that is correct. She is almost entirely deaf but technically has some hearing left - hence the hearing aid. As far as normal conversation, she would have to reply solely on lip reading at the decibel level would not nearly be high enough for her to hear.
