I have been without local channels because the dish is out of allignment since Mondau of this week. I called on Tuesday and D* said the earliest available time for a service call was Wednesday Nov 19th. Obviously, that does not sit too well. I hav etried to get in contact with Premier communications to see if this can be expedited, but to no avail.

La Crosse WI market. Anyone know of a phone number that I can get in touch with someone who could expedite this request? I can't believe that there are no service techs in the La Crosse for 9 days from the time of the ticket being opened.

Thanks!

Check locally for a TV shop that also do dish alignments. It is not difficult. If you can easily reach the dish you could do it yourself. BTW: The dish may not be solidly installed. If it moves around when you check it.

DirecTV's installation program vastly underpays their techs and generally treats them badly. As a result, turnover is very high, and they can never keep enough techs. The techs that do work in your area will be very overworked, with a typical day being 12-14 hours (from when they get to the office to pick up their equipment and jobs until they leave the last customer's house), and most techs are required to work at least 6 days a week.

Most techs are being routed 5-6 jobs per day. A typical install takes 3-6 hours. Do the math.

Service calls have the highest priority of all calls. This means that there are lots of folks in line in front of you who also need them. Calls are prioritized like this:

1. Service Calls
2. Mover's Connections
3. New Installs
4. Upgrades

No one cares how the installers are treated/paid until they are affected by the "blowback..." :(

Notify D* of the problem, and tell them that you will ask for an adjustment in your bill for the lost channels if the service is not completed in a reasonable time!
