Help! I just unplugged My 508 for the first time

Hello all,

Newbie question here. I've had a PVR508 for about a month and today I had to unplug the unit to make way for a new big screen TV set (I'm in heaven).

When I plugged the 508 back in, it came up with a "Congratulations you have a DISH 500 system" screen. When I hit my guide button, I noticed that it's not listing many of the channels in the guide that I normally get.

Is this simply a matter of letting the unit sit with it's power on for awhile so it can re-download? I checked the PVR function and all my saved shows are still there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go into the dish pointing screen of setup and perform a check switch operation. This will probably bring everything back.

You may need to reset it by holding down the power button for 5 secs if that doesn't help.

The check switch trick seemed to have reset my guide to all the channels.
