I got a R-22 as a Birthday Present. I had a R-15 which I sent back because it decided to go into permanent stand-by. Now I'm having a problem with this unit. I've tried to hook up a component video connection but I get a scrambled picture. The audio is fine. Super Video is fine. I have a six year old Sony TV that has Component Video Inputs which works fine with my DVD Recorder. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Make sure the output is set to 480i instead of 480p.

The R22 will only output 480p over component. If your TV won't accept 480p, you will need to use the s-video connection, or composite video.

Thanks. An issue like that should be mentioned in the User Guide. Other than that I like this DVR.
