Has anyone contacted Directv to complain about the sound quality of the new Sirius/XM channels specifically Lithium. It disturbs me how horrible the sound quality is. This needs to be brought to their attention and they need to fix ASAP. It is pathetic!!!!! Let me know what we need to do. I am going to call and complain. I would assume they already know about it and are looking into.
If anyone has any news on this, please let me know.

Sounds like normal to me.. using just tv sound and also thru my AMP. It isn't great but it is what I hear from satellite radio.
It isn't great but neither is the source. I will give you that there are other channels that sound better.

I listen to Lithium quite a bit on my factory Ford radio. No audio problems (although they have messed with the playlist )

Lithium sounds ok on my XM radio, but the audio quality is poor on my HR21-700. I'm no audiophile, but it sounds tinny to me.

Did you ever hear LUCY??????? Come on, you can not possibly think Lithium sounds good? It sounds like a plane is passing by. The echo, sound, monotone... Makes me sick..... They better fix...

Sounds like an old 45 with a worn out needle with a penny on the tone arm.

This isn't a bandwidth issue, this is an audio processing issue.

I don't have any special contacts inside DirecTV. I'd be calling 800-531-5000 just like you would. Posting about it on here is a better way to make sure it gets fixed, anyway.

I listen to the music channels a lot, on a good system, and have been underwhelmed with the quality on most of the channels (except for 840). Sometimes they actually choke the bandwidth back to mono.
The sound is now much, much better. Real stereo, full frequency response, uncompressed dynamics and more detail. Some of us can tell and really care.
This is great. Kudos to the people who made this happen.
Thank you XM and DirectTV!
