I'm an IndyCar fan, I post at a great IRL forum called TrackForum (http://www.trackforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=1) That is a direct link to the IRL forum, http://www.trackforum.com takes you to the home page. If you are a fan, check out that site and find many other IRL fans. Also, we have an almost nightly chat at http://www.spinchat.com Below are the directions to our chat.

1. Go to Spinchat (http://www.spinchat.com)
2. Sign in, or type the name you want to use, in the "First time visitor" box. If using an unregistered name, also check the "terms of use" box.
3. Press Go
4. Close the status messages box after it
pops up and says that you are connected.
5. On the left side of the screen, click on
chat rooms.

I enjoy it, I'm not a big fan though.

I work for Bridgestone/Firestone in Akron, my whole last month of work has been preparing for the Indy 500. Akron builds all the race tires, we supply Indy with all the tires, roughly about 7500 tires for the Month of May.

There should be some testing going on there now of the tires.
I'm sure there are race teams there now preparing as well.

I love all legitimate forms of racing, which of course includes the IRL.

IMHO, the IRL has a bright future once CART dies out completly, if it can avoid the mistakes that delegitmized that series.

I liked NASCAR, open wheel just never got to me. Of coarse not much of a NASCAR fan anymore, but I will still defend the sport I once enjoyed.

Sitting on the other side of the fence I am noticing that ever since Canadian drivers have been excelling in this sport/league (CART)support from south of the boarder has gone down. As of today Paul Tracy has won all 3 races so far this season. The way I see it just like in most sports if their isn't a HEAVY American (US) presence the sport just dies out.
