I recently got a Dish 500 and a 3700 receiver from a friend of mine. The dish 500 has the 2 dual LNBs. I currently have a dish 300. I have 2 receivers hooked to it. I have a switch that takes the dual LNB inputs an allows 4 receivers to be hooked to it. It also has a spot for an antenna input that you can use a diplexer to separate the signal at the tv. I am not sure about the model number.

I would like to hook up all 3 receivers to this new dish. I am wondering if the current switch I have for 4 receivers can be unsed in conjunction with the 2 sw21 switches. Or do I need to go to a sw44?

What does the 61.5 degree satellite do for you? Should I go with a sw64 and hook up both dishes?

Bruce you probably will have to go with the SW-64,it will be easier to find than a SW-44. You have the dishes to look at one side satellite but you don't give your location. The side satellites have HDTV, ethnic programming, and some local channels.

My current switch is called a 4 way multi switch. I have looked for a specific model over the internet, but there is nothing specific. As I said it takes the current dual LNB inputs and allows up to 4 receivers to be hooked to the dish 300.

Bruce - as stated by Boba - you need an SW64. However, if you need an OTA / cable feed to all receivers, you're going to have to get separate runs for the non-DBS.

61.5 can get you additional programming, most notably Foreign language and HDTV stuff, and some additional public interest channels.

If you subscribe to local channels from Dish and if any of those channels are on one of the side satellites, Dish will provide the SW64. See the EKB locals page (http://ekb.dbstalk.com/19).
