I was curious if anyone else has gotten only a blank screen when trying to tune in the Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers game that is currently on in HDTV. My program guide says it should be on on channel 9425. I'm currently on the phone with a Dish Network "Technical Support" guy who is COMPLETELY incompetent! He is having me check all sorts of completely unrelated stuff. I've already done all the trouble-shooting. I've turned the system off/on. I've done a switch check. I've asked him on numerous occasions to check to see if they are ACTUALLY broadcasting the HDTV feed, which is being advertised. He doesn't know.
I'm hoping someone else out there can verify whether it is or isn't being broadcasted. Is it on 148/61.5 or 110/119? I have access to 110/119/148.
It is on 61.5/148. You require a 6000 receiver with the the 8PSK module to see it.
Not on here either. I get both 61.5 and 148 :(
Tell my why I bought the 8PSK module again?

Because Charlie suckered a bunch of into purchasing them for all the great HDTV content that Dish was going to provide as soon as providers started to add it (since Dish was going to ge the HD leader). Guess Charlie's missed the news about HDNet and ESPN-HD having HDTV channels.
10 min. left in the 4th quarter. It is on now.

Sounds like a problem at uplink to me.
Truly sad the service is falling apart.
Bet the morale amongst employees are at an all time low too.

All I got was also a blank screen. After spending all this money for HDTV and all I got was a black screen

No problem for me. I started watching the HD game when I got home midway through the 3rd qtr. Really bad camera angels. I was hoping it would be like the HD games durring the NCAA tourament.

BTW. I think I was watching the game from 61.5 sat. I have all four sats and I think it defaults to the 61.5 sat. when both channels are there.

Interestingly enough, NBATV Ch. 402 is back "in the clear" again on AT150 - at least for now.
Pass the syrup. Someone's waffling.
As to the game, seems like they spent a lot of time on corner shots. That is poor. And the lower-right score panel takes up too much real estate. What was/is wrong with the scoreline used most of the season? (And, what's with the pop-up catch phrases, eh?)
Meantime on another channel, Sir Charles of Barkley was in great form tonight on TNT, particuarly at halftime when he refused to shoot at a backboard sporting a pitiful characature of himself. Hilarious.

Those of you on the West Coast viewing @ 148 apparently they had a problem w/ the West Coast hardware *something*. I, too, was on the phone w/ Tech Support early in the first half. Black Screen, info was there, channel was there, guide was correct. Late in the game it came on and was interesting to watch. I think the previous HD broadcasts that I've seen (Houston game, Knicks Game) were better, but at least they're giving us something.. when it works.
Oh and at least the tech support lady that I got already knew something about it. So I didn't get the whole runaround. She assured me Wed./Fri. games would not have this problem.

I had the whole game, start to finish. No problems. Good thing as we had a big group over to watch. Too bad the game was not all that exciting.
BTW, I was pulling it in from the 61.5 position.
Looks like we have another HD game on Wed and Friday as well.
All my non-HD friends were blown away by the PQ as we flipped back and forth between the SD game on TNT and the HD game.
I'm happy. Thanks for "suckering me in Charlie"!

I think that I saw that it is in "free preview" mode again. If I remember correctly it was a real short preview, like only 3 days.
I have a 4 sat setup with 61.5 & 148. 9425 shows up twice in my guide, but I could not get it, choosing either listing, until late in the game.

Exactly why I haven't bought the module yet. Until Dish can offer me a package with some substance to it, I will not bite. This is like Vaporware, buy it and it will come. No thanks.

I agree there should be SOMETHING up there for free for people who lay out $50 for a part but yet can watch NOTHING extra with the unit. Even a new Demo Channel would be welcomed, just something so you get some value out of the adapter.
NBA in HD is not cutting it for me.

I think that Dish was fully expecting to offer ESPN-HD at launch and got caught off guard.
