NBATV Channel

Can anyone tell me what is going on with Dish channel 402 (NBATV)? Even though I don't subscribe to the NBA package, we were receiving channel 402 for several weeks. Then last week it was removed and a banner stated we needed to buy the service. Then yesterday I noticed that channel 402 was available again. I am getting confused! Is this channel part of the 150 all the time or just when Dish wants it to be?

The channel is part of NBA League Pass and if you receive the 5.99 multi sports pack. I don't get the LP but I don't buy the Multi-sports packs .. therefore receive channel 402.

NBA TV is also part of Americas Everything package. Thats
how I get it.

You also get it if you subscribe to the America's Everything Pack.

I saw a commerical where it is in "free preview" mode again. I guess they are trying to hook new customers now that play off time has arrived.

I think that its only on free preview for 3 or 4 days.

Yes it is in free preview mode again, it was mentioned on the Charlie Chat last week.

Thanks much --- I really like Dish, but one thing that I really miss from Direct is the email system they had on their receivers. They would let everyone know about the free previews. It is really great that our Dish receivers have the MAIL option button, but it doesn't do anything. I guess my second question would be -- Does Dish even have the capability to send all subscribers email?

AFAIK, the mail feature has never been used. I've had E* for 4 1/2 years and it that time nothing.

BTW- NBA TV preview ends Thursday at 3AM eastern.

Maybe someone should ask Charlie why he is producing software with features that will not be used! Or will he say that is a future option!
