Does any one know where I can find a reasonable priced HDTV OTA tuner? I'm not looking for a Satellite receiver, I just want to pull HDTV with my antenna. Brand names and web sights would be very helpful.

Do you have an HTPC? If so, one of the HD capture cards available might be a good solution for you. Generally a little less expensive than the receivers because just about all of the HD receivers are also satellite receivers.

Will these HD capture cards work with any PC?

If you have a PC running Win98 or beyond (odds are you do), you should be good to go. Check the system requirements before you buy, though.

If it's a stand-alone box you need check out the USDTV (http://www.usdtv.com) website. They have a Samsung model there that may interest you.

Generally, you need a Pentium III or Celeron (or equivalent) system. I run 2 hipix cards on a celeron 1 ghz box and a celeron 1.3 ghz box with no problems at all. Plus, you can record the HD to hard drives (at about 8 GB per hour) for later viewing.

You can also check out the Zenith OTA receiver. It's available at many home electronics retailers for about 399 or so. I've seen several open box specials at 349. Pretty reasonable for an OTA only box...

Thanks Guy's
I have been seeing the Samsung SIR-151 on E-bay for $200 to $240 also. I may go that rout.

You can usually find manuals for each at their respective manufacturers web sites. Go get em and read up. Thats half the fun.

You can get a Samsung SirT151 over at Ebay for $260.00 while the same unit costs 399.00 at Circuit City. Just do a Search using the phrase "Samsung HDTV Tuner" and you will find them. Thats a really good deal and they are not refurbished, brand new.
