Nothing there says exclusive or DirecTV that I see.

I do expect a heavy HD push for the next olympics. Should be interesting.

How about this paragraph?

As executives at the conglomerates calculate how to recoup costs, they'll consider how all their assets could be deployed. That means potentially bringing new players such as Disney's ESPN or News Corp.'s DirecTV or AOL Time Warner into the Olympic TV mix and raising possibilities that Olympic action will appear online.

Ahh there it is. :) (Rubbing my Eyeballs)

That still does not say DirecTV will have exclusive content from the Olympics. :)

Well, since we can't get GoodLife TV, maybe we will get DirecTV Ballroom DanceSport. :)

Some of the Olympic games may go exclusive to D*, but they will be pay-per-view ;) .

This is really a crap shoot and a high stakes lottery. The last few Olympics have shown us that Olympics in certain time zones are worth far more than others where the events will be taking place in the middle of the night. Taped coverage just doesn't work anymore in this real time, instant access world. Yeah, yeah, you people love your PVRs, but that doesn't work for sports. MOST PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH SPORTS LIVE. If I were an exec, I'd never bid for an Olympics contract until I knew which city was hosting it. NYC would be worth far more than lets say, Beijing.
