Directv has or is raising rates . adult channels are going from $10.99 to $12.99 . there is no more local channel listing in directv the guide anymore . PPV has went up to $2.99 . I wait til they come on HBO or Starzs .

PPV's are still $3.99. They are having a special this month. $2.99 for PPV's on Tuesdays only.

The 2.99 special is an excellent idea. i've always theorized, that PPV net revenue went down when the rates were raised to 3.99. Today i can buy DVDs from 5 to 15 dollors. When Dish went from 2.99 to 3.99, my rental of PPVs decreased by about 95% on movies that i paid for. Run the special on a slow day and see how it affects gross margin dollars that day. If it is a signifigant improvement, change your rates.

Old news. Rates went up about a month ago. Total choice plus remained the same.

Well, local channel listings in paper TV guides are useless anyway. All they list is the primetime programming that's common to the networks. The rest is listed as "local programming". Besides, I haven't picked up a TV guide in months. It's much better to see what's playing or what's coming up onscreen.

PPV didn't go up as far as I know. PPV prices vary. New movies are $3.99. Older movies may be $2.99.
