For what it’s worth here's a little information if your considering using a HomePlug network solution for your 622.
My Verizon broadband DSL service is rated for 3mbps/768kbps – according to the DSLReports website I’m realizing on average 2.9mbps/580kbps.
A couple of weeks ago I decided it was about time that I gave DishONLINE a try so I opted to use a HomePlug solution for my 622(s) network hookups. I chose this route because if it worked it would be a clean and easy to implement solution.
I’m very glad to report that according my 622s’ status screens I’m averaging 2.7mbps from DishONLINE doing simultaneous downloads to both of my 622s.
Initially I went with just a Cisco/LinkSys PLTE200 (85mbps) Powerline Ethernet Adapter because of its Homeplug 1.0/1.1 compatibility ~ required for the 622 according to the DISH networking guide. This device is not a power-brick style solution; it looks more like a small router or workgroup switch. BTW: According to the Dish literature, newer 200mbps (and faster) Homeplug adapters are potentially not compliant with the 622.

Since my initial success with the PLTE200 I have added two Cisco/LinkSys PLTS200 (85mbps) 4-Port Powerline Ethernet Adapters in order to satisfy the Internet connectivity requirements of my Sony Blu-Ray players and other Internet hungry A/V devices. This seems to have caused no deterioration in overall performance.

I should also add that I have numerous X-10 controllers and modules in my home and that the HomePlug network in no way seems to interfere with these.
