Switching to SWM

just received new SWM LNB with 4-way splitter and power supply. I am only using one receiver with one TV. Do I need to use this splitter or not?

With one receiver, there is nothing [need] to split.

No need to use the splitter.....your 1 receiver is an HR2X series if I remember correctly?!? That 1 line will run both tuners.

No splitter needed. Just run the one line from the dish to the PI and then to input 1 on the receiver without a BBC.

Yes, receiver is HR22. Thanks guys for the quick info. Hope this takes care of my 771 error problems. Will report back.
