I know this is probably a stupid question, but what the heck.
I had a program on my DVR on Keep. However when scrolling down, I accidently deleted it. Is there any way to recover this?

That's what I was afraid the answer would be. What is the purpose of the Keep function if you can delete?

You might want to look at the HR2x wish list... see the HD DVR forum. That's a common wish.

recordings can be set to self delete when room is needed, the keep feature disables the self delete

Keep function (Keep Until I Delete) doesn't prevent you from deleting a recording, it prevents the DVR from auto deleting.

The DirecTV Tivo units, I know the HR10-250 for sure, are the only units that can recover a deleted program.
I have also sent this request to DirecTV for years. I have two younger sons that accidentally delete things or sometimes even my wife has done it thinking I watched it but I didn't watch it yet.

Given the extreme prevalence of repeats, your chances of re-recording are nearly 100% - do a search for the program in the guide.

I was surprised to see this function available on my hd tivo when it reactivated a month ago,it is a nice feature to have,I would like to see directv add that and dual live buffers to all their hd dvrs,it was especially nice to be able to use DLB again as i use it quite a bit.
Shame it isn't the HR10-250 TiVo you would be able to recover with the current software.

Depends on what it is. Sports events are mostly one time shots for example.

Well, that's true.
On a side note, it has got to be tough being a Bills fan in FL.....

You can recover deleted recordings on the 250? I still have one active in a guest room but it doesn't get used very much.

Part of an upgrade this summer or fall. If your HR10-250 is not connected to a phone line, it won't update. The update in question also added a couple of other things (swivel search, I think was one).

I just checked and my 250 has the upgrade. That's a nice feature. I wonder if there is any plan to offer it on the DirecTv DVRs?

When you delete a program it creates a new file "Recently Deleted". It now takes 5 button pushes to really delete a program so you really must intend to delete the program.:)
That is a great feature and I hope they will bring it to the HR2X series. At first I thought I wouldn't use it but I ended up using it frequently.
All they need now on the HR10-250 is PIG,some logos are missing, broadband capabilities, put the First Air Date in the main information page. Then the HR10-250 would be better as an SD DVR,but right now with the latest upgrade it's definitely better.:)
