I currently have a VIP 222 (HD) with a 322 (SD). I just purchased a second HDTV and want to upgrade the 322 to a 222 so I can receive HD service on my second tv. My question is what costs are involved in upgrading? Since I already have HD service, is it as simple as swapping receivers? It is important to note that the VIP 222 currently has 3 satellites listed, 110,119, and 61.5. The 322 receiver only has 110 and 119 listed. Does this mean that when I added the wing dish at 61.5 the connections outside were only made for the HD receiver and not the second SD receiver. Also, am I correct that the second receiver cost would be increased from $5.00 a month for a SD receiver to $7.00 for the HD receiver. Thanks.

Run a check switch on the 322 and see if it will pick up the third slot. It is possible that the 322 has not had a check switch run since your second dish was installed (assuming the 222 and 322 were not installed at the same time).

If it comes up missing 61.5 let us know what is on the check dish screen for both receivers ...

Thanks. I ran a check switch on the 322 and 61.5 now shows up. So, is it true that all I need to do is swap the SD 322 for a VIP 222 HD Receiver?

Yep. Both being dual tuner receivers it is an easy swap.
