Zapping noise on my locals

Every minute or so my TV makes a zapping noise and freezes for a second. I notice it on my local CBS, ABC and Fox channels. Is anyone else having this problem?

It is happening on my HR20 700 and HR20 100 and is occurring on HD shows.

Been doing this all day on FOX. Major sync issues too. Other channles are good. Is it the FOX feed, or DTV?

I live in Chicago and I'm getting that exact same problem, but I'm only getting it on my local CBS HD channel. I've called 4 times about it, and the rep. tells me it's a known issue and they are working on it. I'm getting kind of tired of that response, and I'm going to escalate the issue the next time Icall. If anyone has a solution, please share.

I've been getting this all day, only on the Fox HD local channel. It wasn't happening before today.

I often get it in Phoenix, best I can tell it happens when the signal switches from HD to SD...

and also sometimes in between overlap when watching one recorded show as it bleeds over into the next recorded show.

Software version 29B - had it since 11/8, occasionally had this - usually on the locals, but never to this point. Tried reset and red button reset - no help.

I don't think thiis is a DTV or receiver problem. I believe it is a FOX HD problem. It is doing it on both my machines. HR-700 and HR-20

Is it the FOX feed, or DTV?If it happens only on Fox, and is doing it all day long, then it may very well be a Fox issue. I know what you are talking about, but when it happens, it is usually once or a few times at most during a program, at least in my experience. Nearly blew my rear speakers out once. But yes, it started for me with the 29b update. A much more serious problem for me is the stuttering/jittering pictures, and the complete drop of picture, i.e. black screen.

I'm in the Orlando, FL area and experience the zapping audio issue yesterday while watching NFL on Fox HD. Haven't seen the problem on any other channel.

JohnWell, that tells you right there that it is D*'s fault, not the station.

It is not just on Fox, I get it on several stations. Minor annoyance.
