I'm looking forward to testing Windows 7 when it becomes publically available for testing and have a couple systems I could use but am curious if anyone knows what the minimum (and recommended) system requirements will be for Windows 7.
For instance, I have an older latop (2004 era) that has a Celeron M processor running at 1.5ghz with 1.25 GB of RAM and 40 GB harddrive. It's running XP SP3 very well but would gladly offload XP to use Windows 7 if it will run effectively on this system.
I also have modern, robust system (quad core 2.67 ghz processor, 8 GB RAM, 2 x 500 GB harddrives) running Vista 64 bit. I"d prefer not to mess with the Vista installation and leave that intact. What's the best way to run Windows 7 on this system? Run it via Virtual Machine, or set up a dual boot and run Windows 7 on the dual boot?
Thanks
