I found out that ABC is now available in HD for my area via OTA so I went in and did the channel search again. It find the new ABC HD but now doesn't show my CBS HD channel which is currently working.

I was just going to go in and add 10-1 manually but am a little confused how to do this.

I have both a 622 and a 722.

Just do a scan and the DVR should find all the stations that it can pull in. You can delete them all and start over, if you like. This may take a few minutes. Let it finish. Where are you located in MO? Most HD channels are in the UHF range. So even if there is a 10.1 it may actually have a much higher channel number that is mapped to "Channel 10".

I have channel 10-1 right now working in my guide. But when I go in to search for 33-1 which is new it finds the new 33-1 but my 10-1 vanishes.

I'm in Springfield.

According to anetnnaweb.org your 10-1 channel is actually on UHF channel 52. Do you have 52?

The receiver does not show you the actual ATSC channel that is received. Only the map down to the original NTSC channel number. So in your case, the ATSC signal that you receive on channel 52 will display as 10-1.

The only time I have seen a channel disappear is when a distant channel is received OTA that has the same virtural channel number as a local number. In my case my local virtural ch 8 disapeared when a distant virtural ch 8 was scanned into the guide. I deleted the distant 8-01 and the local 8-01 reappeared. (keep in mind that the actual RF channels used by these two "channel 8's" were different so both could be received, however the virtural channel numbers caused a conflict.)

This should not be an issue if all the stations you receive come from the same DMA. But for many of us that possibility exists.
