Does anyone have a timeframe of when they will be deactivated?
I need to switch my series links to Mpeg 4 and a deadline would be nice.

Just an opinion but if it's a series link for a show that you expect to be around for awhile I would just switch the series link to the MPEG4 channels now. Then you wouldn't have to worry about when the 70's will go away.
Not trying to be a smart ass just making a comment.

Have you looked at the Channels I Get to see if they are in that List of Available Channels that you get???

Does HDNET Movies even have a corresponding channel in the main group?

Unless you have an HR10 your using, there is no reason to use these channels for anything. They are lower picture quality, they take up more space on your dvr, and it appears they will all be gone before the end of March...
I suggest deleting them from your channel lists and getting used to the channels real homes, and set up all your recordings there...

Not to mention that when they do go away, the guide data will disappear quickly if they do it the same way the other channel changes have been done.

I just had a Slimline 3 dish put up as a relocate. The dish will not look at the 110 and 119 sats when properly configured as a SL3. I originally followed the instructions and configured it as a Sidecar and kept getting multiswitch errors on the 70's and 80's channel. Changing it to SL3 eliminated the channels and the problem. I now have HD locals and will be losing the DNS feeds in January.

Which instructions? If it's a slimline 3 it's a slimline 3 (SL3). You can't actually set a sidecar dish anyway, if you have a "sidecar" (it's actually the AT9 dish) you have to set it as a slimline 5 (SL5) anyway...
