I would think it refers to the 4-room SD receiver install.

D* always advertises "no equipment to buy" because even if you pay $1,000 to get 5 HD-DVR's, you aren't "buying" them; you are "leasing" them. :)

The only thing I see different then ordering from the D* website is an exclusive phone # and a $20 Fathead e-certificate. You can get a free HD DVR and the same package promotion directly from D*. If you want an even better deal, you can do the AAA promotion. It gives you an extra $240 off over your 2 year commtment.

Well, there are 365 days in a year and 24 hours in a day. That's 8,760 hours in a year. a 0.0004% downtime would be about 3.5 hours per year. I live in a moderately rainy area (but no snow) and I can't say I've lost signal for more than an hour total all year.

Oh great, I can see it now.

Fathead is now selling Directv.
Who are you calling a fathead?
No one is a fathead, Fathead is selling Directv
If there is no fathead, how can they sell anything.
I mean Fathead is a company, and they sell Directv
Oh Great, so there is a whole bunch of fatheads,
and they have the nerve to call themselves a company.
no, no, they are not fatheads, that is just the name of their company. They make sports figures that stick or pin to the wall.
So, they are not fatheads, but Rather Pinheads?
Aaahhh, No! they are normal people!
Forget it, I don't want to deal with either fatheads or pinheads.

I'm glad you did the calculation--I was going to.

I'm in a pretty rainy area and would have to say I did not exceed that amount of outage in the past year.

In a really snowy year I might, if I did not scrape the snow from the dish.
