I just got back from my dads house and he had a HD box added with a new dish. Is there a new LNB out mine has 2 on the dish and his only has one with 3 lines coming out and running in the attic. I need to get in the attic and see what switch he has and there is also just a stub wire hanging off the dish for the fourth line. I would like to get them all hooked into the new dish but wasn't sure with the lnb it has. The installer just left his only other receiver hook to the old round dish which is just a few feet from the new which I thought was lame on his part. Thanks Michael

He probably has the Slimline 3lnb dish that only picks up the 99/101/103 satellites for areas that only need those satellites for locals and regular programming. However, don't waste your time looking for an external multiswitch. He doesn't have one if there is only three lines coming off the dish. An external multiswitch would require all four lines to be ran from the dish to the switch.

You only need the fourth line if he has four tuners to connect.
BTW, the dish has a built in multiswitch.
