DirecTv website still shows as on for Jan 09. Any idea when in January we'll see them? It would be great to be able to watch the new season of 24 in HD. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

I am also in the Greenville area. I haven't heard of exactly when they will be coming out.

You know what though, even when they do come out, I am sure they want be up to par with the rest of the HD channels we get through DirecTV.

Channel 14, WFXI - FOX is horrible. That station seems like it drops its signal every other night. Sometimes the audio is distorted, sometimes there is no picture. That station is awful!!!!! I watch this station through DirecTV SD and then through QAM on Sudden Link in HD. The problems exist in both places, Cable and Sateliite. Remember last year when they muffed the Super Bowl? And then they blamed it on Atmosphere? That may have been true, but it is funny how none of the other stations have this "Atmospheric Interference".

Channel 7, WITN - NBC also has a couple of issues. I just found out over the last 2 Sundays that whenever WITN displays a scroll along the bottom of the screen then the HD images switches to SD and never turns back even when the scroll is gone. THis is so aggrevating when watching the Cowboys/Giants game 2 weeks ago, and the Giants/Panthers game last night.

Channel 9, WNCT - CBS seems solid.

Channel 12, ABC has a horrible SD PQ. I can only imagine the same for HD.

I feel like I am living in the dark ages in Eastern NC.

I agree with you completely but unfortunately they're all we got. I tried to get DNS waivers but of course they were all denied.

Yeap, same thing with me. I find myself watching more and more CNN now rather than any of the local news channels. If I want local news, I usually go to WITN.com.

I honestly can not express how much I dislike Channel 14. It is god awful. Even their website, fox8fox14.com is horrible. I hope someone from that station is hearing the complaints from viewers and will address them.

I think they're owned by the same people that own WCTI 12.

Im thinking around Jan 12th.

Fox HD on WYDO is not as sharp as WRAZ or the national fox hd.

If you don't mind me asking...

How do you know this? It seems you are the local channel guru around here and I have no reason to doubt you. I am simply wondering where you are getting your information.

Thanks - :)

I cut on the TV this morning before work and noticed we now have some HD locals. It looks like channel 12-ABC, channel 15-CW, channel 14-FOX and channel 9-CBS are all in HD.

Bought time. But none of my local programming this morning was actually in HD. The national morning shows like "Good Morning America" were labelled as HD but I had to leave before I could see them.

7-NBC is also HD. The Today show was on when I had to leave and it looked good in HD.
