Hi. I've been reading your messages for a few weeks now and have learned a lot. I have one question that I have not yet been able to find an answer to. Maybe someone can help.
I just got my DirecTV system installed this past Monday, 4/28. I have a Hughes E86 and a Hughes GAEB0A.
I have noticed that the information banner that shows up at the top of the screen when you change channels stays on for an inordinate amount of time. Like 10 seconds almost. It is kind of distracting every time you flip back and forth between programs. I know you can hit the Exit or Clear buttons to get rid of it, but I was hoping there was a better solution.
I've looked through all the menu options, I think, but can't find anything that would obviously shorten the display time. Does anyone here know a way to make that banner not stay on so long?
