Welcome to the forums, MFH2Master! :welcome_s
I do not know about this particular product and the two bits of information tend to conflict: 1) Sonora seems to make some very good equipment, but 2) DIRECTV probably has not certified this. (I could be wrong, btw.)
So I'll let you decide if this is suitable in the installation you're doing.
Merry Christmas!

I would use it in a heartbeat. As Tom wrote, Sonora makes excellent gear (been using their stacking equipment for several years), and our MSO designed some into a system we're hopefully upgrading from a SMATV to MFH2 in a few months.

Works great on long cable runs.

We have 2 of them in cascade (!) on a 475' cable run. Obviously they work exactly as advertised. No, not DTV endorsed, but they seem to work as claimed.
We put the first one at 150' and the second at 350' then 150 more feet of coax beyond that to the receiver (H21). I really did not expect this to work, as there is no slope compensation. Have not tried it with a DVR but see no reason it shouldn't work.
If ever need to again I think I'm going to recommend (insist) on RG11.
has any body used this with a swm dish?
