Hello, I have an SWM8 that I want to try to fix the Tuner 2, and low 101 signal issues on my boxes. I have 1 HR20-700 and 1 H21-100. I only have 3 cables entering my premise from the dish outside.. Will the SWM8 work with only 3 inputs or do I need to run another cable out to the LNB?

oh I have a slimline 5.

Thanks
-Roger

will it work? yes
will it work correctly? no

basicly you will be missing a group of channels that are on that missing line

Or you can install the SWM outside with four lines from the dish, then one line into the house.

Merry Christmas!

Yep, as Tom said: mount the SWM8 outside by dish.. run 4 lines to swm then hook one line from dvr (sat1) to swm1 and one from other reciever to swm2.. put PI in line from dvr to swm1 (usualy by the dvr)..

You can install a SWM LNB and that will work. You will only need one line going inside the house.
