My sister is planning to move after the first of the year and since i am 8 1/2 hours away from her, the option of me going over there and getting her old system and moving it to her new address(now 12 hours away from me) is out of the question... so, her only choice is to use movers connection.
so, she currently has a phase 3 dish with 2 R16 DVRs .... my question is when she moves, will the movers connection come out and install a phase 3 dish for her or would they install a 5lnb slimline??

They will install what is needed, most likely a phase III

Unless she upgrades one of her IRDs to HD in the process they will install whatever SD dish is needed for her current programming.

Correct! If the goal is to get her a Slimline, then you'll need to incorporate an HD upgrade during the Mover's process.

Not necessarily. Remember, using MOVERS CONNECTION "resets" her 2 year commitment even though it does offer a few "perks" like 3 mos of a premium.
I think it is possible to call one of the many local DirecTV "dealers" and pay them to relocate the equipment for a fee. They are listed in the yellow pages as "authorized DirecTV dealers". It might also be possible to call a local satellite TV or OTA antenna installation company to do the move. Granted, this approach will cost money but you are actually "paying" for Mover's Connection. I also seem to recall that Mover's Connection involves a $20 S & H fee. Someone correct me here if I'm wrong....
