I am currently two DirecTV receivers, a D-11 regular non-DVR and a DirecTV DTivo (the R-10) on one of my accounts. I want to change from using the single-line input D-11 receiver to using a DirecTV DTivo. (I have another DirecTV Tivo that I haven't been using. )

I have some questions about how to do this.

What do I need to do to add a second line to come to this receiver. The DTivo that I'm already using already has two lines coming into it.

Does it matter that there are two satellite dishes, one for the regular DirecTV feeds and one for the local Syracuse feeds?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Since you have 2 dishes, you likely already have a Zinwell WB68 multiswitch with 8 outputs. All you need to do is run an RG6 coax from one of the unused outputs to the 2nd input on the TiVo.

Since it is a SD installation it may be a different multiswitch such as the SAM-6802, but the same procedure would apply.
