Type of card ( HU, P4)?

I have my DIRECTV HDTV Satellite Tuner for sale and twice someone has emailed me asking if I was using a HU or P4 type of card.


So what's a HU and P4 card?

HU are the older ones just phased out, they are extremely vulnerable to being hacked. The P4's are newer as they just finished rolling out and are more secure than P4. The security has nothing to do with you or your system, its to prevent you from hacking the card to get channels you arent going to pay for.

Your welcome, the demand for HU is because they are easy to program and still work. Remember programing a card to steal Satellite TV is ILLEGAL.
