View Full Version : NFL Sunday Ticket
I got a letter from directv yesterday with a number to call to renew my Sunday Ticket for 179.00.... I was surprised to get that letter..... I got my directv last Nov and got the last few weeks of the Sunday Ticket for free...... The only catch is I gotta call by end of May if I want the discount price.......
Anyone else get this letter??
I, too, got this letter last week. When I called the 800 GET-SPORTS number the offer was for $199! Since no human was to be found I called another Direct TV number and spoke to a customer rep.
She said I wasn't eligible for the early bird $179 price because I had cancelled my Season Ticket at the end of the year. I asked her why I received this letter, which made no reference to my previous experience (which was 4 weeks only) if I wasn't eligible? It said I was a "valued customer". She said she didn't care what the letter said, I wasn't going to get it for $179. I asked to speak to someone else and she said no one else is going to tell me different.
I continued to ask for her supervisor. When he came on the line he gave me the $179 price and said he would look into this letter (which he hadn't seen).
I told him I wasn't trying to scam anyone, but the letter pointed people to an automated line that only gave you the option of $199, not the $179 in the letter. Whether I personally qualified for it wasn't my argument, it was only to point out that anyone who responded to their letter would have a problem.
Having said this, I'll be happy to watch those 17 weeks of football this fall.
