Wonder if 8' mesh or 10' fiberglass dish would work for superdish reception?

I have heard of people using the B.U.D.'s for what we have now, so I dont see why it shouldn't.

Another thing it would be good for is prevent having to have so many switches to view multilocations at once, you can simply move the dish to pick up the next slot.
A few things I am not sure about is the focal points and interference because of the size of the dish.
This would also be good for older recievers if they are not capable of picking up many orbital locations at once when they launch these new satellites from these new slots.
You would have to change/add the right lnbf's for the different slots but one could put several lnbf's and pick up all kinds of different things with different receivers and not have to have so many dishes up and have to do switching like you would if you had a smaller dish. This would solve a lot of problems in itself if this would work.

Just as a larger telescope mirror increases the resolution and hence decreases the size of the smallest target possible, the larger your dish, the harder it is to focus it properly because you're focusing on a progressively smaller point in the sky. This is why C-Band dishes are mounted and aligned so carefully, so as to make geometery work for you.
Also, the LNBs are designed around the power levels received by the standard size dishes. Using a larger dish can receive so much signal, attenuation may well be needed.
With clear line of sight, a standard dish receives more than enough signal to feed through a series of amplifiers and whatnot to well over a couple hundred outlets in the largest distribution systems.
You're talking about chasing diminishing returns.
With regard to multiple positions, here are some interesting links for you:
