A rotar would be a solution if the older receivers could not handle all of the switching and all of those orbital locations and may be cheaper than having to replace all the hardware along with the extra lnbf and switching that would be required. If they did not have to use 129 anymore then that would free up an orbital location for the satellite recievers.
Do the older receivers such as the 3000, 4000, etc. have the 129 slot on the satellite signal screen and able to support that dish connection?
Also would the satellite at 105 have interference with the new service that will be at 105.5 in the future?
How about using arrays to solve some of the solutions with dish size and multi dishes that are needed? They could make the little reflective mirrors inside the arrays move from one satellite to another in which would be pretty quick solving some of these issues as well.
