Have two 500 pro dishes 5 feet apart, one looking at 110 and the other at 119 (trees) with one wire to each - no signal.
If I have either dish with both wires I can get one satellite but not the other.
What am I missing here.

Do you have a sw21 switch installed? with 119 in input#1 and 110 in input#2 ?

Is your skew off? Also did you do a check switch test and if the trees are blocking one of the satellites that could be causing the problem. More than likely 119 will be blocked by trees than 110. Which satellite are you getting in or are you getting in 110 from one and 119 from the other?

If you are getting 119 from one of them then make sure the skew is set correctly at that one and then do a check switch so that it will allow 110 to come in as well.

I do not believe sw21 works with pro.
110 from one site and 119 from another site.
Trees are blocking one on one site and the other on the other site. I know it is strange, but that's what I got.

I see what you are saying now, you only have a narrow window to go through between the trees and you can get only one or the other. I am not sure if they came out with a dishpro sw-21 or not yet. A local retailer would trade you your dish 500's in for a couple legacy dish 300's and some sw-21 switches or you can probably trade your dishpro's for some legacy's so that the legacy sw-21 switches would work for your situation.

The DirecTv dishes would also work because they are compatible with the Dish300's in which there are a lot of those out there. You can get some good money out of the Dish500's so thats why some would trade in a heartbeat, you could probably get two Dish300's for one Dish500 and still have one left over for if you would find a signal somewhere else that picks them both up from the same dish on a Dish500.

Note:
Also have 300 dish pro at 61.5 with DP 34

I use two 24" dishes, one for 119 and one for 110. I also use a 35" dish for 61.5. They are all separated by a few feet (about 15' area). They have worked fine. I just used cheap generic dishes nothing fancy.

Do your 119 & 110 dishes both have a DP Twin? Have you already tried connecting the wire to the other output? It could be that both outputs of the DP Twin have to be connected to the DP34 for the combo to work. What does the receiver's switch check summary show? You may need to replace the DP Twins with DP Singles.

Both 500 dish pro have twins, when I connect wires to one on each, the 119 is not found by check switch.
I cannot buy more stuff until the dust settles on the HD questions.

With the new SuperDish coming out I would also wait. If you had legacy lnbfs you could connect those to a legacy sw-21 to make it work.
