Can an OTA Signal Be Affected by 622/722 Audio Drop Outs?

Looks like the body of my post got lost in the ether so here's what I was asking.

Mostly curious. I rarely record anything OTA but I'm having to do it a bit now. Can't say I've noticed it yet so it is a curiosity question.

I'm not sure exactly how to answer your question.

If the audio dropouts are a result of signal problems or OTA reception issues, then the recording/watching is obviously affected.

If the problem is a playback issue with your receiver, then the recording/watching is technically ok and it's just your receiver that's to blame.

Either way, though, it's tough to imagine audio drops not interrupting your viewing experience.
