I have a Dish 500 and 300, a 6000 receiver, a 508 and a 3900 (I think). I just received (not installed yet) a quad lnb so that I can have all three hooked up (the 508 is rather new). I wonder if I'm wasting $150 for this quad lnb for a few months use if we are going to have to install the Super Dish to get the new HD channels (ESPN, HD nets, etc.) ?

If you are going to want locals and your DMA is on the list or you want HD then yes, it is a waste of money, unless they have some type of adapter to use our current lnbf's. Do they really expect some to pay this much for quads and switches and so forth just to have to buy another dish again? I sure hope they have some type of conversion kit (would save them money) or some type of promotion.
