I just saw a note saying that it was pulled from DirecTV today -- if true, that will probably be the final thing that moves me back to cable (after failed dvr's). I can't have a service without the locals.

Anyone know if it's a dispute, or a technical problem?

Are you sure it was DirecTV and not Dish Network? I know Dish has had a retransmission consent dispute with Fisher Broadcasting for a while now, but I haven't heard anything about DirecTV and Fisher.

Edit: Here's a link to the explanation from Fisher: http://www.komonews.com/about/36233819.html

Hmmm...I haven't heard anything like that. I know that Dish no longer has KOMO but I don't think DirecTV has dropped it.

I live outside of Portland and have KATU which has the same owners as KOMO. No issue here.

It may be technical, this is what it says:

“NO need to call us-
We are aware that this TV station is temporarily unavailable…
We’ll have this channel back as quickly as possible
Sorry for the interruption”

Yep, that's a technical issue. No worries.

Dish Network lost KOMO. Today was just a glitch.
