Running TiVo software on new HR22/23?

As many of you know, TiVo and DirecTV have teamed up again!...Something from TiVo is coming in the second half of 2009.

The author of one article I read said this:
"TiVo has just clarified for me that the service will run on DirecTV hardware, not the TiVo HD hardware as I had assumed."


Do you think they'll offer a software upgrade to HR20/21/22/23 owners and charge a subscription fee of maybe $5.99-$12.99 instead of or in addition to the $5.99 we currently pay for DVR service?

No, it'll be a different box.

At this point no one is really sure but there have been a couple sources that said it will be on the existing hardware and that is possible since they did do the same thing for the comcast DVRs.
