So much for the predictions (again) of the great migration to DirecTV because of YES, TiVo, etc. Dish continues to gain market share in DBS.

With the plans Dish has for HD, I think the migration may come their way if they can do it right.

I think this new HD and local programming may get a lot more subs and help out a lot.

If they don't lose the Miami court case and have to pull all locals.

I thought that was just over distant networks, not locals?

It is, but the penalty could involve all network locals.

Not likely.......... And even IF the judge handed down the ruling, the Appeals Court would shoot it down. (Kind o like the Illinois court that keeps trying to issue multibillion dollar judgements against Big Tobacco .... if they actually succeeded, then they would decalre Chapter 11 and the settlements the REST of the states had would "go up in smoke". The higher courts have a tendency to fix these judgements that the lower courts screw up......
