Labor Group Targets Part Of Comcast Exec Compensation Plan
The Communications Workers of America has targeted parts of a compensation plan for top executives of Comcast Corp. (CMCSA, CMCSK), which will hold its annual shareholders meeting Wednesday, a newspaper reported.
The compensation committee of Comcast's board wants shareholders to approve a plan that would give Brian Roberts, the company's president, a bonus as high as $3 million if the company meets certain performance goals this year, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Tuesday. That would be in addition to stock options, a $2 million base salary and other compensation. Other company executives could receive bonuses equal to 50% of their salaries.
Comcast said the compensation plan aims to keep good managers.
