Here's the text of the final email update that I sent out today for the contest. I've been getting a bunch of the messages bounced back to me, and I wanted everyone to see it because it has the schedule for this week, plus a preview of the EIGHT (8) Final polls. So, here it is:
Hello everyone, and welcome to Week #12 of the DBSTalk.com Survivor:Amazon Contest.
This will be the final email update for the DBSTalk Survivor:Amazon Contest. As you know, Week #12 is this Thursday night, and then the final Week #13 episode airs on Sunday night (the 11th).
Here's the Contest schedule from now until the end:
WEDNESDAY night, Midnight EDT: Week #12 Polls close.
THURSDAY, 8pm EDT: Week #12 episode airs (I won't see it until 9pm EDT, as Denver is time delayed by an hour.
THURSDAY, 11pm EDT: Week #12 results and Week #13 Final Polls and will be online.
SUNDAY, 12 Noon EDT: Week #13 Final Polls will close.
SUNDAY, 8pm EDT: Final 2 hour episode of Survivor:Amazon airs, plus 1 hour reunion show hosted by Jeff Probst.
MONDAY, 1am EDT: Preliminary Final Results should be online.
MONDAY, 10am-?? EDT: Results verification process starts. Will probably take most of Monday to verify winners. When the verification process is complete, the OFFICIAL Winners will be announced online, and the Winners will be contacted via email and private message.
As we come to the end of the contest, I want to remind you how the 2 Grand Prizes will work. The player with the most points at the end will have the choice of receiver as their Grand Prize (the 721 or the HDVR2). Then, the player with the next most points will win the other receiver. The player with the 3rd most points wins a DVD of their choice, and the player with the 4th most points wins an item from the DBSTalk store.
Just a reminder - the Grand Prize Winner that selects the Hughes HDVR2 receiver must meet the elligibility requirements listed on the American Satellite & Entertainment Website to take possession of the receiver. The HDVR2 winner must not reside in a Pegasus controlled area. The HDVR2 winner must provide a credit card number to AS&E and must activate programming under the current Directv programming committment guidelines within 30 days, or be charged the standard Directv chargeback fee.
Because you won't have the normal amount of time to consider your answers for the Week #13 polls, here's a preview of what they will be:

Final Poll #6: Who Will Win Survivor:Amazon? - worth 20 points, plus 1 point for voting

Bonus Poll #11: How Many Votes to Win Will the Winner receive from the Jury members? - worth 8 points, plus 2 for voting
So, adding all of that up, how many points will be available after Week #12? Final Polls: 78 points + Bonus Poll #1: 12 points + Voting Participation Points: Up to 20 =
110 possible points!
Bonus Poll #9 is online. You automatically get 2 points just for casting your vote in it, and you get 8 bonus points if you end up voting for the correct answer. This poll is a different kind of question - one which you can't find the answer for on any of the spoiler sites. This was done intentionally. You MUST vote in ALL polls, including the bonus polls, to gain all of the participation points at the end. Who do you think that the survivor voted out is going to vote for at tribal council?
Don't forget to vote - if you miss just one poll along the way, you automatically lose out on 5 bonus points at the end of the contest. For those of you that have already missed one or more polls, stay in it because you're still elligible for 15 bonus points at the end of the contest. You just won't get the full 20 bonus points.
