The H10 is an MPEG2-only receiver, which means that very soon, it's going to be a standard-def-only receiver, since DirecTV is shutting down the last few MPEG2 HD channels. In order to get the bulk of the HD channels (and soon, for all of them), you need an H2x/HR2x series, MPEG4-capable receiver.

The H10 receiver will losing all of their ability to pick up HD channels in a few months (?) because the MPEG2 stations will be shut off. So essentially, it will be a SD receiver!

MPEG2 HD Satellite channels are already being shut down. Check out Ch77 for the latest info. It's expected that they'll be gone within the next few months.
