What are the benifits, other than Dish On Demand downloads and aviding the $5 conection fee. of having my 722 hooked up to my internet connection rather thanthrough a phone line?

That's about it until the web scheduling feature become available. When it does (assuming it does), you will be able to manage the receiver and timers over the Internet. Also, they say sling support is comming with the 922 receiver so you can watch content over the Internet but I guess that does not concern the 722.
