Is this page about turning off distants new at the echostar site? Google indicates it is from the 5th of this month.

Yes it's new. I don't think the ruling has even been handed down yet. (Let's hope the Miami Judge does not see this page)

If I am not reading too much into it, it seems to read they will still broadcast the distants but to less people, but it seems vague.
"ORDERED TO TURN OFF DISTANT BROADCAST NETWORK CHANNELS FOR SOME OF OUR CUSTOMERS" and "WHILE THIS RECENT RULING DOES NOT ALLOW US TO TRANSMIT CERTAIN DISTANT NETWORK CHANNELS, IT DOES ALLOW DISH NETWORK TO PROVIDE LOCAL NETWORK CHANNELS FOR CUSTOMERS THAT QUALIFY."

That page seems to have been removed now!

I was able to see it through the google viewer. It seems to be the message that was up there back in 1999. They must have just recently removed it pending the new Miami decision.
